1. Compliance with Google Limited Use Policy

AI Summary (aisummary.site) strictly adheres to the Google Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Service User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

2. Information Collection and Purpose

To provide the core functionality of summarization and AI analysis, AI Summary collects and processes:

  • Webpage Content: Transcripts, metadata (title, duration), and comments from YouTube videos only when the user interacts with the extension.
  • User Input: Specific questions asked via the "Ask AI" chat feature.
  • Authentication Data: Email address and name via Google Sign-In for account and subscription management.

The sole purpose of this data collection is to generate the summaries and insights requested by the user.

3. Data Transfer and AI Processing

AI Summary transfers the video transcripts and user queries to third-party AI models (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude) for real-time processing.

  • Limited Scope: We only transfer the minimum amount of data necessary to generate the requested output.
  • No Training: We do not allow these third-party providers to use your personal data or the video content we send them to train their models.
  • No Selling: We never sell, rent, or trade user data to third-party data brokers or advertisers.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Summaries & History: If the user enables "Cloud History," generated summaries are stored on our encrypted servers to allow cross-device access.
  • Deletion: Users can delete their history or request full account deletion by contacting support@aisummary.site.
  • Security: All data transfers are performed over secure, encrypted HTTPS connections.

5. Prohibited Activities

AI Summary does not:

  • Use user data for credit-scoring, lending, or any form of profiling.
  • Display third-party advertisements within the extension based on user data.
  • Access your browser history or data on any websites other than YouTube.com.

6. Transparency

We are committed to transparency. If there are any significant changes to how we handle your data, we will update this disclosure and notify users via the extension interface or email.
